COURCHEVEL LA TANIA - NESTLED AT THE HEART OF THE FOREST

A FAMILY VIBE

It was all about a challenge, a resort that was unveiled in 1989-90 for the Albertville Olympic Games, emerging from the middle of the forest, on the outskirts of Saint-Bon valley. A quiet and discreet place that was perfect for families because it was a ski-in, ski-out resort and the area around the foot of the slopes is perfectly safe and reassuring.

ATMOSPHERE AND ARCHITECTURE

Just 2 km from Le Praz, La Tania is a modern resort, divided into three adjoining districts. In the first, you’ll find all the original big apartment buildings that were designed by architect Jacques Labro (the man of Avoriaz) offering the chance to admire the mountains, as well as a few private chalets, shops and services. The two other districts are each centred around a winding road lined with beautiful, recent chalets, much like the old-fashioned mountain villages.

OTHER ACTIVITIES

We recommend the Chemin du Moulin snowshoeing outing (4 km) which passes via the hamlets of Villaflou (where you’ll see the mill) and La Nouvaz (chapel). Not-to-mention the fine-dining experience at the Michelin-starred restaurant Le Farçon.
